“The most powerful weapon on earth is the human soul on fire.”  — Field  Ferdinand Foch

I wanted to share with you three things that really fire me up this week:

1. I would like to formally announce that we have a new special purpose Joint Venture entity called for special projects in North America and Emerging Markets. Our 50/50 JV partner is owned by a Madrid-based global EPC powerhouse that is one of the largest construction companies in the world. We will utilize this entity when we need financing for a project, are working on an IPP or BOO, require special performance bonding, or are going after really large projects. This is so exciting that I call this Game Changer #1.

2. General Electric has qualified and authorized USP&E as an EPC client and dealer. This is an enormous opportunity as very few companies are allowed to sell GE’s gas turbine equipment, so most of our competitors are forced to resort to working only in the second hand market. This change allows us to leverage the capabilities and product lines of one of the worlds largest, most aggressive and trusted brands in the world, wherever gas turbines are required. an incredible competitive advantage in emerging market EPC projects, like ones we are working on in Nigeria and Cambodia right now, we get great pricing and lead times. These turbines are the most fuel efficient in the world and more and more of our clients are asking for them. I call this Game Changer #2.

3. Our business wouldn’t be anything without our people, and right now we have the best team we have ever had in the history of the company. And this is what really gets me fired up! I don’t know about you, but I love coming to the office and traveling to job sites and visiting with colleagues and clients. I love it because I love the people I work with, and I love the fact that we offer truly unique products and services – with integrity and honesty. I call this, our best and most valuable asset, is what I call Game Changer #3.

Stay tuned for truly awesome things.
